The movie, “The Beach,” was filmed on the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand. Another filming location was at the On On Hotel in Phuket, Thailand (the hotel scenes from the beginning of the movie). On our way to the Phi Phi Islands in 2009, we stayed at the On On Hotel and actually stayed in room 38, the room where Leonardo DiCaprio stayed in the movie. The hotel was interesting…..
